July is a time to celebrate (for us Americans) the official birth of the United States of America. The declaration of our independence. Let us not forget all who fought for our independence and those who fought to continue the American way of life! Our history might not have always been pretty, but it’s one that all nations have contributed to to make a one-of-a-kind place.
Most of us celebrate the 4th of July with cookouts, bonfires, parades, fireworks, and lots and lots of food! So I thought I would share one of my favorite summertime recipes with you: Tomato, Cucumber, and Corn Salad. This is light, refreshing, and only has 4 ingredients! If you’re in a pinch to make something to bring to your next cookout, this is a quick fix!
Tomato, Cucumber, and Corn Salad
2 Tomatoes (any variety works)
2 Medium-sized Cucumbers
1 can of corn or 2 ears of corn shaved off
1 bottle of Italian dressing
Mix ingredients together and boom! You’re done! If you have time, let it chill in the fridge for a couple of hours to let the flavors marry.
Hope you stay safe and enjoy your 4th of July celebrations!
